"GIORDANO DELL'AMORE" OBSERVATORY ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LAW AND ECONOMICS
The Observatory was founded in 1988 by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio delle Provincie Lombarde, CNPDS and Università Bocconi, to commemorate Giordano Dell'Amore, who was President of Cariplo, Dean of Bocconi University and president of the CNPDS Administrative Commission for many years. The Observatory's principle aim is to promote, develop and coordinate research, studies, experiments and meetings to deepen and spread knowledge about legal and economic issues in modern society, and particularly in the international context.
The Observatory is a valuable interdisciplinary "think-tank", that analyzes current social phenomena and makes viable recommendations against which to compare current or future legislation.
For this reason the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio delle Provincie Lombarde has always offered its patronage and financial support.
The Observatory has concentrated its efforts on the organization of important international annual conferences on issues reflecting the importance of synergy between economic analysis, the law and the institutions. The quality of these conferences has always been very high as the best Italian and international scholars and experts have been continually sought out for presentations. Thus, the congress proceedings have always been unanimously appreciated, and they continue to be a point of reference for scholars, field operators and students alike. The Observatory has therefore an important cultural role to play both on a national and an international level.
